Greetings Brethren, family, and friends to the December Lodge Notice. I hope that each of you found time to enjoy a great day with family this past Thanksgiving. For the first time ever, Carol and I went to a restaurant for Thanksgiving and I chose to not have Turkey ... and enjoyed every mouthful of this new tradition for us ! Our November meeting was our Annual Brother Bring a Friend Night and it was a wonderful evening. We had four prospective men as our guests that evening. We all enjoyed a meal and they had a chance to learn about who we are and some of the things we do.
R:.W:. Joe Passaretti, Grand Director of Ceremonies, gave a wonderful speech on who the Masons are and had a movie to show us. The movie was one I have never seen and by the rapt attention being given it by all in attendance, I think it was new for most all attendees that evening. Thank you R:.W:. Bro. Passaeretti on assisting in bringing light to the Brothers of Collabergh-Radium and our friends. It looks as though we will have a class of four ready to start degrees in January. With that in mind, I am pleased to announce that W:. James Kyriazis has accepted my request to be our Lodges Degree Coordinator, which is different from being the Drama Director currently being done by R:.W:. Mark Fytros. Brother Kyriazis has always had a
high interest in the importance of good degree work, and clear information on rehearsals and development of newer Brothers in degree work and will be perfect in this new role for the Lodge. Our December Lodge meeting will be the review of reports on petitions and voting upon these petitions, as well as reviewing any end of year reports as required in our by-laws. The end of January will bring our Lodge's annual post holiday dinner ... to be held at .....? The Reef, where we have gone for a number of years, is undergoing a major renovation this winter and will be closed for a few months. Any and all Brethren attending our December meeting are welcome to make recommendations on a new location for this dinner. If you have a recommendation, please find out if they have a private room for 50 people guaranteed, at a price no greater than $40.00 per person. As always, I hope to see you in Lodge, until then, stay well and may you and your family have a wonderful Holiday season.
